The source features aliasing after being upscaled to 1080p, so we descaled it to its native resolution through the inverse matrix and then reconstructed it to 1080p by a less prone method of aliasing. In addition, there was noticeable ringing in the chroma planes, which we adopted appropriate restoration with the least possible side effects. On this basis, we removed the imperceptible noise to control the bitrate and adopted a preventive de-banding process. S3 has better quality than S2. The native resolution remains the same, but the ringing issue in the chroma planes is greatly improved.
