Pase Rock - Bullshit as Usual 2003
NyaaTorrent’s rules are clear in allowing only Asian media, so in the past I have asked what users qualifies under that moniker—I’ve asked them to voice their qualification via downloads. I am not trying to bend the rules or cause a pain in anyone’s ass. In fact, I’m grateful to NyaaTorrents for making all of my downloads distinct from most without any request from my end.

Today I am uploading an album by American rapper Patrick Johnson, better known by his nick-name Pase Rock. Why would I put such an album on a torrent site specifically for Asian media? Because every song but two (tracks three and ten) were written and/or produced by Jun Seba, better known by his alias Nujabes. He died in an accidient on 26 February 2010, and you can find his discography of direct work here on NyaaTorrents. However, it does not include albums on which he was strictly a producer and/or writer, which encompasses two albums, one by Pase Rock and one by Substantial (which I own and will upload later). Each artist can be heard on Nujabes’ albums Metaphorical Music and Modal Soul. If this torrent is removed for violating NyaaTorrents’ rules then I understand and will not argue; the album is very much influenced and directed by an American rapper. However, the music is also very much influence by someone who we will be forced to recognize as an icon in Japanese rap and hip-hop, and for that reason I feel justified in uploading this album.
