立志从医的班杰明，终于在父亲工作的医院得到实习机会。他从未想过，这会是震撼教育的开端。紧急救护的压力、多变难明的病征，让班杰明对自己的能力产生动摇。一次值班，因器材疏漏与经验不足，班杰明首次历经病人死亡。

面对家属质疑，班杰明下意识将过错推给同仁，他的父亲更动用权力掩盖真相。白色巨塔的残酷，在怀抱梦想的青年身上赤裸验证。班杰明终于意识到，医生对他人生命的责任，远超过「医德」两字能负载。在内外压力双重挤压之下，班杰明决定豁出去挑战医疗巨兽，找回梦想初衷！
