【ストーリー】
Ｃ.Ｅ.７０。経済圏の確立を求めるコーディネイター（ザフト）とナチュラル（地球連合）の軋轢は「血のバレンタイン」の悲劇によってついに武力衝突へと発展した。モビルスーツを要するザフトを各地で地球軍が圧倒するが、戦渦は予想に反し長引いていく。「血のバレンタイン」から１１ヶ月が経った頃、中立国の工業コロニー＜ヘリオポリス＞に住むコーディネイターの少年キラ・ヤマトは、ザフトによるガンダム奪取作戦に巻き込まれる。その奪取作戦にはザフトの軍人となった、キラのかつての親友アスラン・ザラが参加していた。戦火の中、運命的な再会を果たす二人。しかしキラは、ナチュラルである友人を守る為、唯一奪取を免れたストライクガンダムに乗り、アスランと敵対することになるのだった・・・。
