It's not good even in its days. The lines in Season 1 are blurry, with lots of aliasing and dashed characteristic. Besides, the intersection of lines features strange dot-crawl. Season 2 has similar artifacts except for obvious banding. As for Season 3, the lines artifacts remain the same and more serious. The image covers heavy noise as well. Season 4 comes with better image quality, with only slight aliasing and banding. In the first three Seasons, the lines were repaired and moderately darkened, and artifacts like banding were dealt with. Denoising was applied to Season 3 to control bitrate. We adopted anti-aliasing and de-banding for Season 4 as a matter of routine.
