Thanks to them for crafting Chinese subtitles. 原盘原始编码质量欠佳，加之灌流前的额外后期工序，使得 BD 画面出现了 WEB 配信源所没有的多层振铃效应与色度细节损失。全片原生分辨率约 900，尽管画风天然抗编码，但因细节丰富，全片仍有不少欠码。我们参考 CR 源对 BD 进行修复，随后做了基础的抗锯齿和去振铃处理。 The source's original encoding quality is poor. Additional post-processing before BD mastering also introduces multi-layered ringing and a loss of chroma detail into the image — issues the WEB source does not have. The native resolution throughout the anime is about 900. Although the art style is naturally well-suited fot encoding, the sheer amount of detail means the anime still suffers from insufficient bitrate in many scenes. Princess Principal 的原盘画质非常差，大概是为了配合剧中时代背景，整个画面看上去很陈旧，看着像一部上古 DVD，有效分辨率不到 720p。原盘画面中，线条粗细不均，还有锯齿和断线问题，线条周围有明显的振铃瑕疵，平面区域有色带。画面修复方面，我对线条进行抗锯齿、线条加深、连线、去振铃处理，对平面进行去色带和纹理增强，让画面看起来更清晰。说实话，这部片的画面处理确实非常麻烦。为了让线条看起来稍微平滑和清晰一些，我耗费大量时间，专门为其折腾了一种连线和线条加深手段。希望有生之年不会再碰到这种返古的原盘，如果有……那就让别人去背这口锅吧……至于来年的剧场版，我们有缘再见吧 T^T by 静流的抱枕 The picture quality of Princess Principal's Blu-ray is quite awful, and looks medieval, perhaps trying to match up with the historical background of the story. It resembles an ancient DVD where the effective resolution is lower than 720p. For example, the thickness of lines is uneven, together with aliasing and discontinuity. There are strong ringing artifacts near the lines and bandings in the flat area. In order to fix the artifacts, we applied anti-aliasing, line-darkening, broken-line-connection and de-ringing. Furthermore we applied de-banding and texture-enhancement to the flat areas to increase the overall clarity of the picture. It is tough to make lines smoother and more clarified, for which I spend a long time to design a method to connect broken lines and darken them. Hopefully I would never encounter such source in the future and if there is... let someone else deal with it... The source exhibits terrible image quality, as noted in our previous comments. This rework focuses on pre-processing of the dirty edges, noise, and aspect ratio, while fixing the corrupted frames in certain episodes using the DVD source and undamaged BD source. In order to minimize content loss after cropping the black borders and maintain the original aspect ratio, the final resolution of S3 is 1920x1078.
