She has since gone on to pursue her own singing career, and in 2005, her first solo album Yoruoto Hyouhon was released. Her following album releases, crochet and savon compile the songs she has done for games.While many of her songs have been for adult games, she has also performed for several RPGs: Chrono Cross she was personally requested by director Masato Kato for the ending song; she later made an album with that songs guitarist, Tomohiko Kira, Ar tonelico: Melody of Elemia, Atelier Iris 3: Grand Phantasm, Mana Khemia and Ar tonelico II: Sekai ni Hibiku Shoujotachi no Metafalica.Apart from kirche, Mitose also provided the vocal and lyrics for ORITA, a band she formed with composer Naruki. She has also contributed to various dojin music circles, such as APPLE Project.

Utada Hikaru - First Love 10 March 1999 I seriously doubt I need to introduce Utada Hikaru to anyone here. But I wanted to upload this album so that fellow Japanese music fans can compare to contemporary Japanese pop. Why? Because even though First Love came out in 1999 it remains at this time of writting the best-selling Japanese music album of all time. I have even heard it is the best-selling album from any asian country; but I cannot verify whether or not that is true. theless, there is something about First Love which no J-Pop album has come close to replicating in sheer terms of commercial success.However, a lot of people I’ve spoken with believe that this is Utada’s debut album. It is not. She actually debuted with Precious in 1998. But the all-English Precious, while being a commercial success, did not approach the Mount Everest level of commercial success that First Love would establish.If you are an Utada fan and have not heard this album then you owe it to yourself to download this.

cargo - MARS 21 October 2009 The people here who follow my uploads thank you all! have surely noticed that I upload a lot of music from 2005–2009. I have said before that I have spent a lot of years gradually and steadily building up my collection. However, one reason I have a lot of music from that time frame is because I spent those years doing amateur-quality Japanese music journalism as a side-job. I sucked at it and I’m not proud of the quality of reviews I wrote and all, heh, but one nice perk is that it allowed me to get a lot of Japanese music for free. I got paid more in free albums than I got actual money for my work. I’m not complaining about that though; I would have just spent the money on the albums anyways, lol.MARS by cargo is one of the albums I got under those circumstances, and in fact I remember it being one of the last albums I ever wrote a review for in that capacity. Cargo is a four-member electronica/house band who incorporates elements from the hip-hop genre. They started out around 2004 but it would be a few years before their debut album, Disc Odyssey, released in late 2006. That album brought cargo a lot of attention in the Japanese club scene and led to them collaborating with such artists as m-flo, Soul Source Production, Daishi Dance, and even Paris Match. By 2007 they were spending time at the top of the Oricon charts for club music.Since the release of MARS cargo has released some more original music, but they have worked more on collaborations with other artists. I hope you all enjoy the album. If so, let me know and I will try to find some of their older work. I own their debut album but am not sure where it is in my stacks of CDs. But if you all enjoy MARS I will be happy to try and find it to upload.

Vasallo Crab 75 - 12 Rays of Light 20 June 2007 Im going to be pretty busy this weekend so I decided to go ahead and rip multiple albums tonight and upload them, because I know I wont be able to stick to my preferred album-per-day schedule for the next few days. Anyways, my personal plans and crap arent important, heh. What is important is that Vasallo Crab 75 is an awesome six-member band who adds a violinist and keyboarder to the usual combination of guitarist, bassist, and drummer. They have performed a couple of times in the U.S. where I live; yet most Japanese music fans I know, regardless of where they live, have never heard of this band, heh. Not that Im criticizing them or anything; sometimes it seems like theres an infinite number of Japanese bands, and Ill be the first to admit I dont even know a quarter of them.Anyways, thats pointless rambling. Vasallo Crab 75 is a fun an entertaining band in my opinion, so check them out if you havent heard them before. Oh---and this is their fourth album. As always, I hope you enjoy!

KAREN - Sunday Girl in Silence 26 August 2009 There are a few Japanese bands named ‘Karen’, notably a visual-kei group. In my experience people write ‘KAREN’ to refer to this band and 「カレン」 for the other. Anyways…KAREN is a five-member mash-up of three bands:1. ART-SCHOOL2. On Button Down3. downyKAREN has always been a side-project for the musicians involved, and as such they have not released a lot of material. Their first album, Maggot in Tears, came out in 2008 after a couple of years of scattered live performances. And then they released this album one year later. To date it remains their last album.Personally, this is one of my favorite albums of the last decade. As always, requests are welcome even though I’ve been slow to respond to most and I hope you enjoy!
